Gorgeous Fall Day!

The kids were out of school today so Laura and I took them (and Donnie's daughter) to play at the park. We played baseball (and I do not exaggerate when I say I threw 100 balls to B), the kids ran on the real football field there (we pretended we had a ball and then when that got old we used the plastic bat as the ball), did tire swing, slides, took a discovery walk, had picnic, played in the leaves, etc....What a gorgeous day it was too! Then I took the boys (and Ainsley) to piano lessons and realized I didn't have my glove I have had since I was 9! So I let the two big kids go into piano and B and I ran back to the park to look for it. I was so distressed because we found the plastic bat and baseball scattered in different places around the picnic tables but we couldn't find me glove. So I prayed that we could find it and these two kids rode by on their scooters so out of desperation I asked if they had seen a baseball glove (imagining I'd have to say this to 40kids) and they excitedly said yes and ran over to the playground and found it for me! Oh I can't express how happy I was to find my glove. I kept telling B that I had that since I was 9 and he kept saying 19????
