Best Friend

On the way home from church tonight this is the conversation going on in my back seat.....
B, "Who is your best friend?" (to M)
M, "Dawson".
B, "Mine too".
Me "Why is he your best friend?"
M, "Because he is awesome at legos, videogames and all kinds of stuff."
B, "We don't get to see him very much." (sad face sound)

awwwww.............

http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8AcsWjRuzcuWKz

Love shutterfly. This is the card we made for M's teacher for her "Merry Christmas Early" gift we are getting her for the classroom! She will be SOOOOO suprised when she finds out we all pitched in to get her a Mobi that puts the information she is teaching the class up on the wall from a computer!

Our Mornings

On the way to school each morning I have M read a short bible lesson out of this book that we have had since the kids were babies. It is a page long and there is one for each day of the year. B has been really great about reminding M and I to do it when we forget. We will be half way to school and he will remind us! So we haven't forgotten a day yet thanks to him! They are good little lessons and start up conversations that we wouldn't have otherwise. And I think its a great way to start off the day making them think this way.

Cupcakes and such

Ok, I have got to get better about doing this every day again so here goes. Today I helped at the kids school for a few hours. Had lunch with them both. B was so excited since I suprised him. I love all the kids, how they all talk to me , hug me (from M's class since alot of them know me), etc. Tonight the kids and I made oreo cupcakes. OH MY! They really were sinful. I saw the chiropractor again. I am in pain right now alot but I still am going to be optimistic about it. I've only been 3times.

M is driving me nuts about ordering him books thru Scholastic. I remember doing that when I was a kid too. So funny. I am glad he loves to read. But he has said it about 100 times so I just ordered both the kids a couple books.

M made me laugh so hard tonight when we were doing homework. He had to write something on "something that embarrased me". Well, he couldnt think of ANYTHING that would embarrass him. He said nothing does. I went thru the whole list of normal stuff and he said nope nope nope. So I had him call his Dad and finally they came up with him being embarrassed if he shot the basketball in the wrong basket. haha

Skating fun

Sunday I took the boys skating. Boy, B can get around on skates now. This is only the 2nd time I have taken them. They had so much fun. M wants to have his bday party there now but I am not sure his Daddy is going to be talked into it due to the cost. I wouldve loved to have skated with them but due to my back I wasn't able to but I told them next time we went (if my back was well) I was going to skate real fast around the rink and whoop up on them! : ) I use to love to skate when I was 9 or so.

Couponing-week one

I have started back to couponing this week and have been reading reading reading reading on it! ugh! It is so time consuming but have been proud of myself this week in the money I have saved. I wrote out my menu plan for the week tonight and finished reading a book on couponing and started on another one. Hopefully I will get better and quicker at all this. Now at 1230 I am going to bathe and go to bed. Gotta get up for church in the morning and my brain is on overdrive with all this information!

New Fav Band

Heather and I took the kids to the Music in the Park tonight to see Top Tier band. M danced all night long. Loved it, got their autograph and talked about the autographs all night. (he went up and asked the band for their autograph when it was all over with) He is going to put it on his journal he says at school. I wish i had a video camera tonight to tape him dancing so much. My pictures came out awful due to the terrible lighting tonight there. But the kids had fun on the jumpy things, dancing and playing with the ball I brought. Heather brought popcorn and we brought fruit chews. Good times!

M's Day

M is telling me what to write. M woke up, went to school, and went to Grandpas. He learned lots of new tricks. Then he came home and hugged Mommy and said goodnight and went night night.

Update

These are the cupcakes that we made for our "going back to school" party the boys and I do every year. They are computers!

I am really stinking on doing my blog every day lately. My back has me laying in bed alot at night after running kids here and there and everywhere and cleaning my house. I miss my housecleaner. Anyway, on to the week. B had his 1st full day of K Monday and has suprised us by not crying at all this week. He gives me 434 kisses and hugs (lips, cheek, other cheek, repeat) before I am allowed to leave him at his classroom but I don't mind. M started basketball camp this week which runs for 6wks, 3 days a week for an hour. B didn't want to do it so he sits and watches with me. I got my house cleaned Monday. Brian even cleaned a tub. That made me happy. Today I grocery shopped. I started my big couponing this week also. What a headache that hopefully will not turn into a migraine. I hope to save enough money to get a new car next yr. I have been studying ways to save from the experts and have been on two shopping trips and did pretty good for a beginner but so much to learn! I have signed up to be class mom for both boys so have been working on that. I am walking also this week. Now If i could cut out cokes. They are so evil. But so tasty! I need water water water! I love my boys. I am helping in M's class tomorrow so need to get to bed. I am half asleep as I type this at 11pm! : )

A laugh

Tonight I was reading B a book called "Somewhere Called Kindergarten" and it talked about D is for dandelions and B asked me what those were. So I was explaining to him that he knew what they were because he would blow on them and make a wish. And he says, "Yeah, but the wishes don't really come true." I said, "How do you know that?" He says, "Because one time I wished for icecream every day and it never happened." : )

Written by M

M said it would be cool if he could build everything in 1 second or tear down anything in 1 second. He would make millions of dollars selling mansions he built. (he is telling me this as I type it!) I would help my family with all of their broken stuff.

Trent spent the night last night and we had a blast. (again he is writing this)

Last week

I can't believe the kids go back to school in a few days. B starting kindergarten. Geesh, where does the time go? This is a pic of the boys with their buddies at the pool today. We are trying to fit in all the fun we can in the last week before school begins. Last night we had B's orientation and I registered the boys for school in the morning. I am going to be class mom for both boys. Should be a busy year! Now, if we can just get my back healed!!!!

Thanks God

I was doing a bible lesson with the boys tonight (that I actually came up with myself while reading a great book. I usually use books that have bible studies for kids in them so I was proud of myself for coming up with this) (I was underlining, circling, and writing notes in my book at the jumpy place because I was seeing the bible lesson in my mind but knew I'd forget it by the time I went to do it). So I asked M to read a part in Proverbs to start our lesson off and he read it out loud and says, "Mom this is about what you are always trying to teach us about how we shouldn't fight with each other and how we should use words instead of getting mad at each other" (I am paraphrasing this of course) Well, I am thinking wow he really hit the nail on the head of what I was trying to get across to them tonight and so I go back to the bible verse and go to reread it out loud to them when I realize he read the wrong verse but the one he read was even more perfect then what I had picked out! Thanks God.
