Busy busy Saturday
Busy but fun day. Started with opening season at the ball park at 830. Ceremony , breakfast, then home for an hour. Then back to the ball field to watch M rock at 2nd base. Hit a great hit. They got killed by the other team which was pretty much tournament ball players but I was really proud of how good M did. Then B played. His Daddy coaching with his two friends and me in the dugout. (I have a new appreciation for those who do the dugout and I think i shortened my life span by a couple yrs by doing it too haha) but loving our team. Loving our family time and loving B coaching. It is a lot of responsibility and time but it is just so rewarding and fun. The kids are great. B played pitcher. Had a good hit. He slid into 2nd and 3rd base and was safe! They won 13-19 i think. Then we went straight to a bday party. Then I took the kids home for baths (they were covered in dirt, cake, etc) and then I went to a friends house to do easter eggs with the kids.

Quick tidbits
B had tryouts for tournament ball tonight and they asked him to play for them.
M and I went to church. My small group is really growing on me.
Work went good but my back is not a happy camper at the moment. But I feel so lucky to have this opportunity to be our hygiene coordinator. Good things yet to come.
Thankful for my hubby coaching this great group of kids we have on our team. We have a great season ahead of us. Being team mom is crazy but so many benefits to having this team this year.
Proud of the kids report cards!

Baseball
B had his first scrimmage tonight. He played pitcher. Boy our team can hit the ball. They are really good especially for a 5/6 yr old team. I helped in dugout and it was chaos. 11 boys running around. They are so sweet and cute though. Highfiving and telling me all about their life haha. Hubby is coaching good. It will be a fun season.
B got asked to tryout tomorrow for a tournament team.
Last night M had his first scrimmage game. He played 2nd and did good.
Busy busy day. From the minute I picked kids up from school until we put them to bed at 830 we ran. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

B and I
B's friend Carter went to church with us this morning. They went to bed last night about 1130 and I went to bed at 1. They were up at 615! It is amazing how kids can just keep on trucking with no sleep. About 5 we found B asleep in his bedroom haha. The boys got to go to the park with their Dad to practice baseball and then a neighbor came over to play with them while I made a homemade mac and cheese with back (which was yum) and their Dad grilled some chicken. Back to school tomrrow. Seems like Spring Break just flew by!

1st sleepover
B is having his first friend to spend the night tonight. They went to a jumpy party birthday today and then came here to eat pizza , play and watch a movie. Well, i say they watched a movie but actually M watched it and they played Lego Ninjaga and giggled the whole time. Getting them to bed took a very long time but it is finally quiet on this side of town! I think it was a memorable and fun time for them!

Spring Break
I took the boys to rollerskate with their friends yesterday. Rollerskating brings back alot of memories from my childhood. I loved skating as a child. I think I was 9 when I had my birthday party there with my friends and family. It was the only birthday party I had at a public place and I remember feeling like a queen and getting alot of unicorn stuff since I collected unicorns then. The boys had alot of fun. They fell less this time but still are covered in bruises! They'd just get right back up and keep on going. They even got in the races.
Today I took them to the jumpy place with friends. Last day of Spring Break.

Love this picture
Love my boys. Love when they are sweet to each other.
Today I took the boys to my work because we had a bday party for my boss's wife who I love. In our lobby we have a prayer box that our patients can put prayers in and at our morning staff meetings Doc will read them and we will pray for that person. Well, my sweet M (8yrs old)asked our office manager who happened to be standing next to him when he noticed it (I was in other room) what the box was and she explained it to him. He asked if he could put a prayer in it and then wrote down to pray for mommy's back. Sweet sweet boy to think to do that. So proud of his heart.

Old picture
I was going thru old pictures to post one and found this one. Not sure if I ever posted it but thought it was a good one of M and his cousin.

My Tuesday Ramblings
Today I took the kids to Cheekwood with some friends of ours. I got alot of beautiful pics of the kids in the Botanical Gardens. A man from the newspaper apparently was taking pictures of me taking pictures of the kids. He came up to me and said it would probably be in the paper tomorrow. So there is no telling what picture this will be of. But the boys like that they will be famous now! haha Afterwards we went to the park and to Toots for lunch. The boys are having a good start of their Spring Break. Then we were home for about 45min long enough for the kids to lay on couch before running back out the door to go to one practice at 530 and one at 7. 840 we arrived home to get kids in bed and showered. I am exhausted. But it was a fun day. We are enjoying baseball. I am proud of B for coaching. I never realized there'd be so much team mom stuff to do geesh. But it is fun and I love that a kid came up to B at the ball park later after their practice and hugged B. M rocked tonight. He did the best we've ever seen him do. He played 2nd great. He has improved so much this season with his throwing and fielding. He really wants to play 2nd base and we've been practicing and I hope this is his year.

Just another Manic Monday
Work, pick kids up from Grandparents, go to Walmart to get M new glasses. They don't have them. Go to buy kids clothes for summer. Go to 2nd Walmart to get M glasses. Get haircuts. Pick up pizza since its 6 by this point. Come home and eat pizza on a blanket in living room and watch our show together, House of Anubis. (boys and I) Laundry. Write big email to B's baseball team he is coaching to get signup sheet for snacks and signups for book/scoreboard from parents. More laundry. Get kids in bed at 10. Lay down at 1045. Where did the day go? Somewhere in there we did find time for B and I to cuddle on the couch and us to goof off on knock knock jokes about 100 times. No matter how many times the boys say them to me they still think they are hilarious!

Our Saturday in March
M is making a leprechaun trap right now. He is hoping the leprechaun will stick to the glue he put in his trap. He is lulling it in by money and candy. Then it will stick to the glue.
UPDATE****M wanted me to research how to catch a leprechaun online so now he is changing his plans. B is helping now. They are using a Girl Scout cookie box and cut out a hole in he middle. Then they put the cut out hole back on so when the leprechaun steps onto the piece he will fall thru. M also put the tape on the bottom of the hole so he will stick to it. He also put tape all on top of the box where the leprechaun will stick to it if he tries to avoid the hole (which leprechauns are pretty smart) and tries to steal the fake coins B found to put on top of the box to lure the leprechaun. M also built a lego staircase up to the top of the box. B then told M that they can jump high so that is why M had to put the tape on top of the box he would stick to. Both myself and their Daddy explained we've never known anyone that has ever caught one before so they will be prewarned how hard it is to catch one. M seems to think the leprechauns bring you money and maybe toys. I asked M if it would freak him out to see a leprechaun in there tomorrow and he said no. (not much affects him haha) He said we couldnt tell anyone we caught one till we let it go though. He said he'd let it go if it gave us money. I told him that his Daddy and I didnt know anyone who had caught one before and he asked if I had tried. I said no. He said that is probably why we never caught one. he is really very clever about this whole thing. Geesh, hope he isnt disappointed tomorrow.
B watching basketball championship with his Dad.
I am making some butterscotch brownies. I told b he should really like Pinterest since it motivates me to cook more! I have cooked every day this week except Friday. All kinds of new yummy recipes. Gotta love that invention!
Boys played baseball with me this morning. Then I took them to the sports store. we were going to get B a new glove but they ended up tightening up his and said it was good now. We bought some orange bases for our 5/6 yr old team. Then the boys played basketball all day with the neighbor kids. B grilled hotdogs and I made a salad and now were getting ready to have some dessert.

Things they love
Things I want to remember:
Things the kids love:
age 8, M loves Legos and his IPAD. Loves to read and watch his tv shows.
age 5, B loves to play baseball and basketball. He loves his IPOD.
They prefer to do their homework at the library.

Today
After I picked the kids up from school we went to have a late lunch, early dinner with my work people. M sat with my boss and his wife and B sat next to me at the table next to them. M talked and talked the whole time to them. He is just so social. I was really proud of them both for using their good manners.

Wknd
Friday M and 3 others at his table had to put on a play that THEY wrote (M said he wrote it). They came up with costumes, back drop, the words, etc... It was very good.
Fri night both boys had practice so I ran from B's practice (where I am team mom and had to talk to the parents) to M's practice (to drop off) and to B's bball party (to get trophy that unfortunately had his wrong last name on it!!)
Today M had practice but the coach let B practice with them. It was so cool to see M on 2nd and B on shortstop on the same team for a little bit. Then we went and met my fam for dinner for my belated bday. Had great time. My sweet niece is getting so big. Luv her.

Update on week
geesh, apparently we have been crazy busy since I am so far behind on this blog. This past weekend B did his baseball draft for his team he is coaching. Monday I started back to work but as a recall coordinator since my back is not better. I am excited about doing something big with this position though. God may be pushing me down a different path right now and using my back as that push haha. I had my first book club meeting tonight. There were 6 of us (3 couldnt make it) and we had a great time. I made chicken chili and friends brought the drinks, bread and desert etc. The boys had baseball practice so B took one and Aunt M took one. We were lucky enough she got to stay a few nights with us for her spring break. Back to work again tomorrow. Saw the acupuncturist today. I am proud of B for coaching. He's really been organized with it all. I am team mom and havent had to do anything yet since he's so with it. He's a good Daddy.
