5yrs old

B's Daddy made a chocolate pie since that is B's fav and he cooked steak since that was B's choice for dinner. He had baseball practice and then dinner. Now the boys are watching basketball with their daddy. Good bday. Can't believe he is 5. I stood in my sister's hospital room today where B was born 5yrs ago and thought how amazing it is that I was there 5yrs ago with him and now she is there with her daughter.

Fun day!

My sister had her baby today. It was so exciting getting the call this morning from my mom to tell me to come to the hospital. I got there at 12 and she had the baby at 143. She is so pretty and Kel is doing good.

Loving ball

At our friends cookout last night B threw the baseball with anyone that would throw it with him. He pretty much wore everyone including kids and adults out till they had to make him quit. He so loves baseball. He loves to watch it on tv, he loves to play it, he loves to throw the ball against our living room wall constantly and is always asking us to throw a ball with him. I love that he loves it. I am suprised he doesn't sleep with one under his pillow. Hmmm, I may need to check that.

Day 2

Day 2 of summer break. M picked up his report card and hugged his teacher. Then the boys and i went and had celebratory donuts. Then we went to visit Nanoo and then went to let kids ride bikes on Greenway while I walked. I just finished cleaning the house and making a salad. M has a baseball game tonight. B is throwing the ball against the wall like he does every day and M is watching cartoons .

End of year

M's last day of school they had lunch outside and an icecream party lua. B and I went and B cracks me up how he gets along so well with all of M's classmates. He actually acts like he likes them more then the kids in his own class. He always has seemed like he gets along with the older kids better. Maybe that is because his brother is older.

This picture is cute because it shows M without his teeth. He gets so into losing a tooth that he will shake it for months till it comes out!

1st phone talk with friend

B had his first "friend" talk on the phone tonight with his friend Mitchell. Mitchell called to say "good game" after playing against him and so when B called him back they laughed and laughed about basically nothing but it was cute to watch the conversation anyway!

Bday party

What a great family day. We had B's bday party at the park. Cupcakes, pizza and 100 waterballoons B's daddy filled up. Then the boys practiced at the ball field with their Dad and a few friends and then had icecream from the icecream man at the park. B said it was his best birthday ever!

Saturday baseball

My Mom and Dad came to watch the boys play baseball today so that was great. Then we had Toots for dinner and B just went to drop them off at their other grandparents to play for a little while. The boys played good. B got his first game ball. The boys teams have only won one game each this year but atleast they are having fun. M is playing right center and B is playing shortstop this year.

Flowers

I asked B what he wanted to get his teacher for a gift for the end of the year and he said he knew what she liked. So I asked him what she liked. He says, "Flowers mom, all girls like flowers."

Walking

The last couple days the boys and I have gone to the park with their bigwheel and scooter. No worrying about cars like in our neighborhood. I love the paths thru the woods. And the kids love running and rolling down the hill behind the baseball park. It is perfect to go there because we walk the winding paths together and they can ride their bikes way up ahead, instead of me getting all nervous because we are on the street. And then we end at the park where they can slide and such. I do have to say I have a blister on my toe from walking so much !

Field Day

Field day was today. B and I both got to go to it. The weather made them have it in the gym and for only an hour instead of all day like normal. But the kids still had a blast.

Lucky

I helped M's class at school today and it made me smile because he is always so happy I am there and his friends come and hug me and I have 10 voices in my ear trying to talk to me at the same time at lunch. Lucky mom I am.

Piano recital

The boys did good at their piano recital today. M played his two songs without sheet music. It amazes me that he can memorize two whole songs! And B was so funny. He played his and then made a beeline for the pews to sit down. I was really proud of them.

Dove

B dove last night to tag a kid out and then tonight to try and get a ball way out of his reach. You just can't teach that to a kid.

Rain

It rained most of the day today and I kept telling B that his game was probably going to get rained out tonight. So he says ,"Mom, I just prayed to Jesus that he wouldn't rain out my game."

You first!

B asked his Dad why he was going outside. He says, "To get your mom's bags in the car for her." So B says, "why?" His dad says, "That is what you do for your wife...or your girlfriend like you boys will have some day." (giggles and ewwwwws follow this from the boys) B says, "But Michael will first!"

I am thankful for my family.

Mommy

I am thankful that B told me numerous times this weekend how I am the best mommy in the whole world.

May weekend

My computer wasn't working again this weekend so here is the update finally. M and his dad went this weekend to camp and backpack for the first time with their aunt. So B and I had a bonding weekend eating pizza, visting Nanoo, walking every day (and him riding his bike), and watching the cool planes fly over our neighborhood for the airshow. Today they got back and took me to a mexican restaurant for dinner for Mothers Day and got me this scrapbooking ideas book I have been wanting. I love those books! They also filled out this sweet questionairre thing their Daddy put together saying different things about me that I will keep forever.

Questionaire

I got to go and have a muffin with B at school today for Muffins with Mom. He filled out this questionaire about me for Mothers Day. He said I was 100 yrs old. He got my favorite food is pizza and fav color is blue. When asked, What does your mom do all day?" He says, "goes to the doctor for her back." When asked how much he loves me? 100 times.

Ticket Blaster

B is so excited he gets to go in the ticket blaster for his bday that Grandma P bought him and Dawson at Chuck E Cheese.

B played 1st base in the last game (our usual 1st baseman was on vacation) and was wanting the kids to throw to him so bad he couldn't stand it. Today he went back to short stop (where he has played all year) and got his first out by tagging the runner and stopped two FAST balls hit to him on the ground. He almost ran to 2nd to tag the kid out but missed him by a hair. He had to throw a few times all the way from the outfield to home and I heard a couple people sitting behind me comment on how they couldnt throw better then him! (4yrs old) A mom commented on how she can tell how much he is in to baseball.

Turtle cake

I was telling B that I was going to make a turtle cake tonight and he said, "Does it have turtles in it?"
