Bday

Took the kids to swim with frinds after their slumber party with Mitchell last night. Then we grocery shopped for all of B's fav things. He picked steak, and corn on the cob and a chocolate chip cookie cake for dinner. We hunted for fireflies before the storm blew in and then he opened his gifts that we had bought him. (M picked him out legos and Pokemon cards which he loved) We also ordered him a Braves Haywood jersey that he saw the picture of. His eyes got all big and excited. Sweet boy.

Movie

B had Mitchell spend the night. They watched a movie and had popcorn after running around and playing with Ainsley. Then I spent 2hrs putting together a video of the pics I took of B's baseball season. I am dead tired and will have little boys waking me up in the morn. Which reminds me is my sweet sons bday.

End of Season

I have to post this because it is so funny. First words out of my 5yr olds mouth this morning, "I hope we beat the Mets today." That cracks me up that his first thought of the morning is his big game. Unfortunately they lost due but the played his best he could. He got a homerun and a triple and fielded what he could. We got stopped in the 3rd inning by lightning and we were down so they called the game. We had a great team this year. They were skilled but also sweet and full of heart. We had great parents too. I couldnt ask for a better team/parents for B's first year as coaching. We had such a season full of joy with these kids. I am sad it is over but glad B has travel ball to keep him going this summer.

Memorial Day

Feeling blessed today. So glad we had a day to be slow. B took the boys to a friends house for a couple hours to swim while I grocery shopped for our cookout tonight on Memorial Day. Then had some good friends over to eat and hang out with. Just nice to sit around relax and enjoy some good food. After this long baseball filled weekend (which we enjoyed) it was just nice to sit around and be together without running somewhere. Love my family. This pic is taken at the strawberry patch that the boys and I went to with our friends Laura and kids and Jaime and kids. They had a blast. It was soooo hot but we had a great time. There daddy loved eating the fresh strawberries and we had strawberry shortcakes tonight after dinner. Yum!

Travel Ball weekend

6 1/2 hrs at the ball park today for B's first travel ball tournament. Yesterday they lost their first 2 games but came back to win 2 to put them in the championship tonight. They got 2nd place. So proud of the boys. It was 98degrees today. B played outfield, an inning at catcher and hit a homerun. After the games we had Steak and Shake milkshakes!

Baseball weekend

What a busy weekend. Friday night the boys both had games. Their grandparents from KY came to see their games which was great. Their J grandparents and Aunt M came too. M got 3 outs himself in the game and got the game ball. B 's team won in the last of the game. He did great too. Then Saturday B had travel ball in the morning which they lost but he had fun. Then we ran from one park to the other to play regular season ball. B's team looked great and he got 11 outs ! M's team lost but he caught a flyball. Then we had dinner with B's family (and sister in town). It was 96deg today so we sweat about 5lbs off but it was a good family filled day. Proud of the boys.

Summer

Gotta love fam. Think this pic is so cute. First day of summer break. Tomorrow kids get report cards. Took kids to water park for an hr. Then came home and cleaned house and did laundry . Kids stayed home with their Dad while I grocery shopped. M and I watched a movie tonight while B watched baseball upstairs. They crack me up. M wants to go to a music camp this summer. He says, "Music is my life." The two camps I found so far he can't go to due to the dates. bummer. Tomorrow starts our weekend of baseball. 2 games Fri, 3 Sat and then 1 or 2 Sun depending on if we win or not on Sat. Bought two water fans to cool us off. Supposed to be 96deg this weekend!

Grad

My baby graduated today. This pic was taken by his BF's mom. Love it. Then the kids had Splash Day all day long which is a big party with the firemen squirting the kids with the big firetruck hoses. They had a blast. Then I helped in M's class for his last day of school party. Both teachers made scrapbooks for the kids. Love them. They loved the ones I made for them which makes me happy. One teacher said she cried looking at it at home that night and the other one got teary eyed when we gave it to her. So glad they liked it. Then we had travel ball baseball scrimmage. Got home around 8 and I am wiped and in bed at 9. The boys are curled up next to me.

Muscles Picture

I just want my kids to stay the same age, keep the same teachers, and B and I stay the same age too. haha I worked today, went to the kids school to give M's teacher her "end of year" scrapbook, kids and i went to Target, came home and cleaned house, did laundry, did dishes (I still dont have a dishwasher ugh) and then cooked sausage balls, made sandwiches and dip for my book club party tonight. Great time with my girls. (boys were at baseball with their Dad) Then I finished the other teachers scrapbook and am getting in bed at 1130. big day tomorrow. last day of school, kindergarten graduation, M's end of school party and kindergarten splash day with the fireman. We will all need a nap when it is over so we can start over and go to baseball practice tomorrow night. Where does the time go?

Some cute things I want to remember

My 5 yr old says to me today, "Mom there are 3 reasons I don't like school. Its boring. Its boring and its boring." I walked in the room and heard the boys talking. One says, "Chipper Jones is retiring this year." The other, "Yeah, I know. He's my favorite player too." Things B got for his birthday. Baseball cards, Avenger toys (because we saw the movie), and squirt guns. Things the kids love to eat: spaghetti (with no sauce, only butter, olive oil and parmesan cheese) PB and J hotdogs hamburgers (only made by their Dad and the ball park) Steak (only by their Dad) chicken nuggets (although M won't eat them at Chick Fil A!) The boys picking me those white flowers that are everywhere in your yard (really weeds). B loving blowing bubbles up untill this year. B loving baseball and wanting to play it every single day. God game them a Daddy so they can all giggle together talking about toots and butts and rough house. Playing school with them when they were younger. M always liked it. B not so much. Our baseball team this year with B. M playing the piano, memorizing lines so good in plays and reports. Him always telling us when their is a cuss word in a movie hahaha. M loving legos.

M's play

I am loving looking at the videos that B made on his iphone at M's play. He did really good remembering all those lines. I am impressed he can every year memorize lines for his school play. In Kindergarten he was a cat with the fiddle, in 1st grade he was a rooster, and this year a Needlefish. Every year the lines get longer! He said this year it was hard! So proud of him.

Bday party

So much preparation for a bday party. It always stresses me out to do it every time to make sure everything is perfect. But I am always so happy to see the smiles on the kids faces when we do it so it makes it all worth it. B was very happy today to have his flag football party he has been wanting to have ever since he went to Mason L party in the fall. We also did a balloon fight again (B's daddy took 3hrs to blow up 200 water balloons for it). The kids were hilarious. Took them about 10minutes to go thru all that hard work but the look on their faces was priceless. I love the pictures I got of the kids. I didnt even notice them so much when I was taking the pictures but when I was looking at them tonight they made me double laugh. We had a football cake and UT decorations. The kids (and alot of grownups) had on jerseys for the occasion. It was a big day! Love my sweet boy! He said thank you 50times today!

Exhausted

I am exhausted after this busy week. Tomorrow we have B's bday party at the park. He is very excited. So is M. He keeps saying things he hopes B gets for his bday. So funny. We had baseball practice tonight and then M had a game. They still haven't won a game yet (M) but he is having fun and doing good at 2nd. B has his first tournament for travel ball next weekend. Looks like next weekend we will have a total of 5 games. Good thing we like baseball. ha.

Busy day

I went on a fieldtrip with M today. Boy it was hot. Day two of hanging with the kids in the heat. Then M had his play tonight at school. He had alot of lines and did a great job. I took the boys to eat icecream afterwards. It was yum.

Great night for a game

Great night for a ballgame. Weather was perfect. M caught a really high popup at 2nd base. First baseman about ran into him but he caught it. Had a great hit to outfield. Got the game ball. B had a good practice. Grandma and Grandpa J came to the game. M ate his first ballpark hamburger. (yes, this is a big deal to us haha)

Sweet giggle

M went to a friends house so B and i went to go pick up sandwiches for us. B had never eaten at a sandwich shop. (my kids are very picky eaters!) I told him he could get the kids meal with a sandwich with a cookie and drink. So he finally was bribed into eating a salami sandwich which he ended up loving and saying he wanted to come back. Then we came home and him and I threw the baseball ball around. When it started to get dark we searched for lightning bugs. I can still remember his sweet giggle when we'd catch them and put them in a jar. He loves to catch lightning bugs!

Mothers' Day

Great Mothers Day. Kids brought me breakfast in bed and sweet cards. Then we saw the movie Avengers and had dinner at Logans.

Saturday

Day 2 of my dental conference over. Poor Michael had to miss his big Sounds baseball game bday party he was invited to. The boys are in bed whispering to each other. There favorite word right now is chicken butt. For some reason this just tickles them. Even their Daddy is in on the joke. Must be a boy thing!

Our crazy weekend

M has strep so his daddy stayed home with him since I had my dental conference all day. Then I came home and immediately B and his dad left to go to his game against the undefeated team. Apparently it was their best game. They lost by 3 but B said they rocked. My B had 5 or 6 outs at 1st, and a homerun. (6th this season) The kids played so good tonight that Coach B gave them all the game ball. Good job kids! Love these kids. Love B is loving it and his daddy and i are loving it. Got my fingers crossed for M to feel better tomorrow so they can go to 2bday parties while I am at my day 2 of dental conference. B also has travel ball practice. I hate when i miss stuff but what do you do?

Thursday

I will be so happy when I am done with these teacher scrapbooks. Talk about alot of time! M starts his classroom one next week. That will be cute to see when it is done. I love homemade stuff.

80's dance

The boys had an 80's dance at school last week to celebrate their end of testing at their school. They use to do a 60's dance and this year decided to skip on to the 80's. It was quite amusing how the kids were dressed but also made me realize I am getting older when the dance turns into an 80's dance!

The boys and I were wiped out today after a busy weekend. B and I came home from work/school and took a nap. (shocking i know!)Then I cooked spaghetti for dinner and we went for a 30min walk. Now we are going to sit down and look at the blog in print that I ordered. So cute and I love we can look at it in book form. The kids always giggle with me when we read the stories together. And its amazing to see how much they change in a year!

Busy weekend

Busy busy weekend! Saturday we had two ball games, lunch with Grandparents and then B and I went to a bday party after dropping the boys off to spend the night with their grandparents. (yah, B finally spent the night!) Then today we had two birthday parties after church, grocery store and got home at 6.

Thriller

Tomorrow is 80's day at the boys school so M is showing me his moves for the dance competition. It is cracking me up. His Dad and him are singing Michael Jackson's Thriller as M dances. I'm going to spike the boys hair, put polos on them with the collars up and jeans. M has a comb in his pocket.

Weeds

Today I was thinking about how the kids have always picked me those white weeds that look like flowers and given them to me when they see them. They will always remind me of my kids. And I think of them as flowers not weeds! ha!

Tuesday

Today I scrapbooked at the teacher center with two friends from 830-230 for the kids teachers. The albums are adorable and I think they will love them. (other then lunch which was a nice girls lunch!) Picked kids up, went to library for M to get his new book and then came home to cook tacos. Then off to baseball practice. Came home, M and i went for a walk, baths, made lunches for tomorrow, did dishes and cleaned kitchen and Brian read (he is reading Swiss Family Robinson to them). Now at 9 they are hopefully going to fall asleep! I know I could!
