week

Just spent a great 4nights at my parents house. The boys and I had a great time going to the Dairy Farm there, Ky Down Under, the cave, Chuck E cheese and playing trivia with my fam. I feel lucky we got this opportunity to spend so much time with them. I got to see my bro, sis, niece, brother in law, Dee and my parents! Loved it!

Lightning bugs

B asks me every day if he can go catch lightning bugs. Then he puts them in his bug catcher and puts them next to his bed.

Our day

The boys and i did the free bowling that our city does. How nice is that? Then the kids had swim lessons and their test. M passed class 4 and B will do class 1/2 again next yr. The only thing he couldn't do was float on his back. I think he will have it mastered this summer though.

Our day

Today the boys and I picked up a pizza to take to Nanoos. We stopped on the way to go to the old bookstore and I picked out a bible study for the kids. We started our first chapter tonight. Visiting with Nanoo was good. She lights up when she gets to see the kids. They shared their school scrapbooks with her and M read his stories to her that he wrote and put in a scrapbook that his teacher did for him. So cute. He has such a great imagination. Then we got rained on at swim lessons. ugh. B and I had to take cover under a large towel on the porch because the rain was being blown at us and we were getting soaked. Strong storm but finally moved on. M and the kids in his class got to go inside to wait it out but the lightning didn't stop till his class was over. Disappointing. B's class went inside to do safety and then 10min in the pool when the storm finally was gone.

Names from a 5yr old

I love how B calls me "mama" and his daddy , "Da".

Dirty

I love this picture because it shows how dirty B gets when he plays ball. No messing around for him. He is going to dive into the dirt if he has to, to get an out or stop a ball.

Lightning bugs

"Dad, when will the lightning bugs come out?" B says. "I don't know, " replies his Dad. B... "How do you not know? All grownups know."

Love

Drove to see Kel and Kaedyn and my mom with B. Had a hard time leaving since it was so fun and I love my sweet little niece. Funny how you love someone so fast!

My heart

I layed in bed last night and looked at B's sweet toes and feet. I thought of how he loves to watch and play baseball. How he always asks us who we want to win. How he rubs it in, to his dad when he picks the winning team. He loves the Redsox thanks to his friends. Today when he was swinging an imaginary bat like he does every day so he can show me how you are supposed to hit a baseball i looked at his eyes and how beautiful they are and how he is so centered on what he is thinking on. The kids are at such a great age. I just love them so much . I love how B will tell you he loves you out of the blue. My precious children. My joys.

Bridesmaid

B went with me today while I tried on 15 different dresses for his aunts wedding. Every time I came out he'd tell me he didn't like the dress. Then he walks up to this long ugly green prom dress one to tell me that I should wear that one. He said that one was pretty. I didn't have the heart to tell him how ugly it was.

Kodak moment

The kids love the pool! They are like fish in the water. I thought it was so cute when all 5 of them decided to hold hands and jump in. I dont know who started it but boy it was a great Kodak moment!

Weekend

Enjoying a great weekend at the inlaws. Swimming and eating lots of good food. How lucky am I that I like to go see my in laws. I always feel sad for friends who dont like to go see theirs. The kids are soaking up the pool. You have to make B get out. They are like fish in the water.

Thursday

It makes me smile to hear B and his daddy downstairs yelling at the baseball game on tv. B LOVES to watch sports on tv.

I am really proud of M and his baseball team. They won their first game in the tournament. They lost tonight but played hard. M threw the ball in a few times from right center perfectly to 2nd base and had a good hit both nights over the 3rd baseman's head.

FAVORITES

I asked the boys today what was their favorite thing we did this week while they were all together ... (we went to the bouncy place, mcd's, park, pool, water park, vbs, etc....)M says, "bouncy place". B says, "My baseball game." : ) LOVE EM!

Last game of the season

B was rocking and rolling at his game tonight. His last game of the season. He is so fun to watch. He got two outs as short and almost two more. He chased down a kid at 3rd to get one out and he tagged a kid out at 2nd once. He dove to stop a great ball at 2nd. At the end of the game he was filthy. His coach gave a speech about B hustling, diving for balls, having such a love for baseball, how dirty he gets playing so hard and how he has a hole in his knee in his baseball pants. He is so much fun to watch. His coach gave him the MVP ball for the season. And I have also loved seeing his daddy coach right behind B all season. I am proud of them both.

Sunburn talk

This story can not be told as cute as it happened but i am going to put it on my blog so someday in years to come I can read it and remember how tickled I got that I cried laughing about this telling Brian.

B and I were laying in my bed and he commented on his sunburn and I looked at it and said, "your skin is peeling off". Then with the sweetest concerned face he says "Am I going to die?" He just said it so innocent and when you look at that conversation from a 5yr olds perspective and are looking into those big blue innocent eyes you can't help but laugh. So then he is asking me why I am laughing at him which just gets me laughing even harder and more. He is so darn cute!

Comment of the day

I love this pic of kids today. D is staying week with us.

Funny comment on the way home today from B. He won those PopRocks at Chuck E Cheese (candy) that pop in your mouth I remember having as a kid. His daddy tells B that they will "blow up" in his mouth. B says, "Will it hurt?"

Hubby

I am very grateful to my hubby for taking care of kids last few days while I recupperated!
