The funny things my boys say
M was talking today about what he would do if he was rich. He says he'd have someone who would cook whatever he wanted when he wanted it. He said he'd ask for a peanut butter sandwhich and they'd bring it to him. But he also said that if they forgot to put jelly on it he'd still eat it and ask them for another one with jelly please. I asked him if he would just eat peanut butter all the time and he said of course not. He'd want spaghetti, pizza, and steak too. Lots of steak now that he had thought about it and he'd make sure that someone made me steak too. And he'd get me a massage and a massager. : )
B was watching the Ole Miss game tonight on tv and he told me that he thought they were called Ole Miss because they "missed" alot of baskets! : )
They crack me up.

Church. B took kids to practice baseball at park with his friends. I cleaned house. Scrapbooked tonight while kids played with A. B's dad brought over chicken nuggets and baked potatoes for dinner. yum. Very thankful for that! B watching game on tv and M watching some kids show. B 's daddy reading the end of the Hunger Games. I finished them . Wow. Good books. I started a book club and we meet soon. Once amonth. About 9of us. Should be fun. Never did this so am learning the process. We are reading Chasing Fireflies which is not the greates title for this book but a great book. I made some bookmarks to give the whole club. I had to order some fireflies on ebay since I couldnt find any on my cricut or teacher center. i will glue them on and laminate them to last. Hope they are cute when they arrive!

Sports day
M won his 2nd tournament basketball game. One more and if they win that they go to the championship game. M got fouled and got to shoot two free throws which he missed but we are proud of how good he did defensively. Steals and rebounds are his game. He tried out for baseball this morning before the game. Their Daddy watched the tryouts for B's league and will pick his team next weekend. B kept telling me he wanted to try out and when I'd tell him he didn't need to since his Dad was coaching his team he'd say he wanted to anyway. He was jeolous other kids got to play and he had to watch!

Thursday
M changed his mind today and told us to sign him up for baseball season.
B lost his tournament game but scored again. 3 games in a row he has scored!
We are pumped about baseball starting soon.
I helped at the school today. I will be reading next week at their classes. I am reading (for dental month) the story I had published in the Chicken Soup for the Dental Soul book and a few other stories out of there. The kids are excited about that.

Bday
Had a good birthday today. Heather took me out for lunch after my acupuncture appointment. Then the kids and B got me a massage, cards and a cake. M won his tournament basketball game tonight and we had chicken tacos I made in the crockpot that were yum. Now off to take a hot bath and retire to read my awesome book The Hunger Games that everyone kept telling me to read and I finally broke down and started it and now can't hardly put it down!

Sweetie pie
We went to see Kaedyn today and M just fell all over her. He loves babies. One time he was in her face talking to her and B said, "Get out of her face, she doesnt want you in her face." So funny. I love how she can sit up now and kinda crawl and she just smiles so sweet. Just makes me want to hug her right now.

Saturday
M had his win in his bball game today. They have a good chance at the championship if they can keep it together. M did good defensively.
B scored in his game today. 2nd time. They lost but they are pretty young and inexperienced. Half the time the kids are trying to steal the ball from B even though they are on his team. They have alot to learn.
As a family we all went to the italian restaurant here in town that has the best pizza and strombolis around. We had a nice lunch together.

Date night
I am thankful that B and I were able to go to our church's marriage retreat at a big hotel ballroom tonight. Nice dinner, got dressed up, yummy desert, comedian.
Earlier today the boys and i went to see Frances. She made us hotdogs yum. On the way there the boys kept telling me how much they loved me. More then chicken, icecream, the whole world times infinity. They were so cute and I enjoyed our talk.
Off to bed now!

Back
I am thankful for a boss who has given me the opportunity to be a "Recall Coordinator" for the office part time, since my back is keeping me from doing hygiene. I am thankful for his wife, who calls me to check on me. I know God has a plan for me in all of this. I know that there is a reason I am suffering with chronic back pain. I am thankful for my family and friends who have been supportive and encouraging and have been praying for me. And I am also thankful for them when they accept my "human" moments thru it all too.

Valentines day
B surprised the boys and i when we got home with chocolate for the boys and m and m peanuts, pistachios and skittles for me. He is cooking some fried potatoes for us with the sausage, mac and cheese and beans I am making. We will eat to candle light like our yearly tradition we started with the kids. Last night we had mexican for our Valentines dinner (a day early due to the busyness of restaurants the day of.) We don't go out to eat much as a family so that was a nice treat. We got B a big Reeses heart. The kids came home with things they made us at school and a lot of candy and valentines.

Monday
As we all know I am famous for my pictures and I usually like to have a picture with each post but I havent been doing that lately. I am on overload trying to get two teacher scrapbooks done of the whole school year on top of doing my own kids scrapbooks done. Crazy job but will be well worth it. So in the meantime I haven't been taking new pictures so I dont have more to scrapbook haha!
Brian took the kids and I out for our early Valentines dinner to mexican. Yum. B ordered nachos, M got a cheese quesadilla and I had some enchiladas. B ordered a burrito, enchilada and tamale. Now the kids are snoozing next to me after I read them a book.

Church
Today we joined the new church we've been visiting since November. I miss our old church family but with the kids being so involved it is so nice to be down the road from the church. The kids love the children's program. And I am looking forward to a new small group that they are starting on Wed. nights so hopefully I can get to know some people. The church is so big it makes it hard to get to know people. I started going to a small group with Heather at another church on Fri mornings and am enjoying that with her and enjoying having a new group of woman friends that will pray for me. But I'd like to get to know more woman at my church. B and I went to the new members luncheon today. The kids got to go and play and have pizza while we were there.

Love to the Library
Throughout my day there are so many stories I think I want to remember at bedtime so I can type them up here to share with everyone. Then by the time I get to bed I can't remember the story. That is why I do this blog. So I can tell stories to remember some day. I wish I could remember them all to put on the blog but I have so many in a day that I dont always remember. But that has to be a good sign right?
The other day the kids and I went to the library and I remember just looking thru the books and being happy. Just this overwhelming sense of happiness standing there like a kid in a candy store looking at all the different books I could check out for free. (Scrapbooking and child rearing, organization with your home and health ). I remember thinking how much I love the library and how it has given me so many years of happiness. Do you ever think how wonderful it is you can just walk into a library and come out with something for nothing. They let you BORROW it. Who does that? When I was a kid my mom use to take us kids to the library and I remember it as this big huge wonderful place with a huge staircase leading upstairs to the kids section (which was much better then the downstairs that had the boring books i needed to write my papers for. This was in the encyclopedia day when you had to go to the library to look up something for a paper for school. Now my kids walk into the dining room and look it up on the computer!) I loved checking out books. I loved the bookmobile that would come to the end of my street every two weeks and let me get 10books and I'd read them all and just suffer waiting for the bookmobile to come back. Imagine....a truck bringing free books to borrow. Who woulda thought? Then I had kids and I took them to the library when just babies. Baby time where they laid on a blanket and had the librarian read books to us while all of us tired moms who needed just to get out of the house (and an excuse to brush our hair and teeth since we were in public) listened to the books longingly, more so then the young kids. Then when the kids got bigger and could crawl and take the toys from the other kids in storytime but they gradually learned to share. Then storytime as they got older and would dance and make me laugh so hard and record them on video so I'd always remember how happy it made me. How the kids loved the puppet shows. How they loved "Driving in my car" song. And now the programs the library does FOR FREE for my kids. We have taken free Spanish lessons, gone to a lego club, met the toothfairy, fireman, free karate lesson, magicians, Zoo animals, the list goes on and on. My kids even ask to go there so they can do their homework there (because it's much more fun to do it there then at home). They love to play on the free computers, they love to LOOK for a book. They both will go up to the librarians and ask them to help them find a certain book. The librarians have always known us. We have taken them cookies. We have donated money. We have joined every book club they've had since the kids were old enough to do it. We have won numerous prizes, been thru numerous different librarians (that makes us sad) and had so many memories (just like i did as a kid at my library) that I just am so grateful for the library. And it's FREE. Not much in life is free. So I may not remember all the stories I want to tell by the time the day is over. But I sure remember a lot of them. And some day when B and I are old together we will sit in our rocking chairs on the porch and read my blog that I printed out each year to remember our stories.

B has a numbers , mathematical brain. So does M. Quite impressive.

School
Our morning started off at the doctors office. B has strep and M has bronchitis. M was able to go to school late but B has to wait till tomorrow. They both are on antibiotics now. While waiting for the prescriptions B and I did his homework in the car. Out of 90 site words he got 80correct! I am so proud of how he is improving and working hard to learn them and to read. His teacher sent his work home on Monday that he did in school and she had written Good Job on it for how neat it was. He's been trying to write neater and correctly. Makes me so happy!

Reading and visiting
Today we went to see Nanoo. B wasn't feeling good he said and basically slept the whole time we were there (other then eating his icecream Nanoo got him). M was a good big brother helping me carry him and the stuff to the car. When we got home B woke up and wanted to watch the SuperBowl that his Daddy had taped for him. At bedtime he read me a story (Loose Tooth that M use to read to me) and M and his Daddy read their book. B fell asleep in my bed so hopefully he will wake up feeling better.

Funny 5 yr old story
Well this past week the boys and I had gotten on a conversation about not kissing in public. B was telling me that he saw Daddy and I kiss. Somehow it ended up in a funny conversation with the boys. So today the boys and I were walking into Publix and B asked what the name of the store was (to see if he got a free cookie or not) and I said Publix and he said it was good Daddy was not with us because we weren't supposed to kiss in Publix. haha

First goal
B scored his first goal tonight and they won their first game 4-2!!! B and I jumped up and down and yelled excitedly and I still remember B's proud sweet face when he looked up at us after he hit it! The coach took us to get icecream at McDonalds (which M's coach did today too since they won too!) McDonalds twice in one day. Had to be a good day haha!

My love of books
You can learn a lot about a person by looking at the books next to a persons bed. I have "Healing Back Pain Naturally", "Games for Reading", a child rearing book, my woman's bible lesson study book, a budgeting book and my new book for the book club I just started.

We got up and went to school. After school Mommy had a nutrition class, after that I asked if I could say hi to Jonathan and Mommy said yes so we went to the playground and said hi. We were going to eat pizza but B decided he wanted us to play at the playground with all of our friends. After that I went to basketball practice. After that B and I played for a while . Mason told me some good information that was about Poptropica at basketball practice. Now I am writing the blog.

Football fan
B has been really concerned about if number 87 will play in the Superbowl. He told his Dad and I that he thinks about it all the time even at school. He likes to watch football with his daddy so somehow this player has grown on B. Well tonight I overheard him tell his Dad that he wished number 87 had our phone number so he could call us and let us know if he is better. (from the mouth of a 5yr old football fan)
