Purse
Tonight Brian was getting stuff out of his black bag that he keeps his travel stuff in and Blake asked him if it was his "purse". Brian said no. That he doesn't have a purse and that he doesn't carry it with him. So Michael says, "Because you don't want people to see it? " LOL!!!!!! Brian and I laughed and laughed about this..................................
Trip
I forgot to write in my blog last night since we have been SO busy in Gatlinburg since we got here. It is so pretty here. And it is great to spend time with my family! The boys did good in the car on the way here. They were worn out last night though! Now we are getting ready to go on a trail walk to see a waterfall. We just got done at the arcade. The weather is perfect. Blake is so cute laying on the floor playing with his army men he won at the arcade.

Scared moment
This past weekend Blake (out of the blue) started crying profusely and wouldn't tell us what he did but you could tell he did something and he thought he'd get in trouble for it. He just cried and cried like it was awful. I got worried thinking what could he have done to be so worried about getting in trouble for. So then he goes to his room and lays on his bed crying on and on and points to his mouth. Well for a second I was freaking out inside thinking "oh my, what did he swallow???" Then it hit me and I remembered he had gum in his mouth and asked him if he swallowed his gum and he cried hysterically and said, "yes, will it hurt me?" Boy was i happy that was all he swallowed!

Things the kids say
Today, out of the blue, Blake said, "Mommy, I don't love you, I REALLY love you!"
When I took Michael to baseball practice (which they cancelled and didn't tell me) we were the only people there so Michael decided to climb the backdrop to the baseball field that is made of fence. He climbed all he way to the top (as I watched nervously from the car). Then he climbed down and ran to the car to tell me (excitedly), "Mom, I have wanted to do that my whole entire life!"

Monday game
What a great game Michael had tonight! Most importantly he paid great attention the whole game. He played 3rd base and got probably 6 balls and stopped all of them except one but luckily the shortstop covered him and got it. He threw good, hit good, and got the last 2 outs of the game by tagging the runners out! He ended the game that way! And they won! We are very proud of how well he did paying attention and playing!

Play
Brian took Michael to see the play "Oliver" today . His friend was in it and so Michael got to meet (and have his pic taken with alot of the cast members). What a treat. I loved going to see plays when i was a kid. I never got to meet the cast though! Blake probably wouldnt have sit thru it since he is still young but when he is big enough we will go as a family to plays. This picture is "my boys" wrestling over the superheroes. LOL! That is why God gives boys a Daddy, so they can wrestle! : )

Saturday
I have eaten way to much good food this weekend between my lasagna, Brians steak, and then crabcakes and caramel pie tonight for dinner at a restaurant. Yum. It has been a good weekend for Nana to come visit since we had the play and baseball. Today Blake got to play but then it rained Michael's game out so it is good she got to see him play last night.

Michael was very cute at Blake's practice. The coach let him help out and he was very proud of doing this. The coach said he could base coach in the games. Michael tells me that Blake only likes to play when he helps! LOL! A friend sent me t his pic and I think it is so cute! The costumes the parents came up with are pretty clever!

1st game to win
Brian grilled fillet for dinner tonight after Michael's baseball game tonight. It was delicious as usual. Michael's team won their first game tonight. He played 3rd again. The weather was beautiful but they are expecting bad storms tonight into tomorrow. We are enjoying having Nana here for the weekend.

Play
I am proud of Michael for standing in front of parents and kids and doing his two lines for his play at school tonight. He told us afterwards that he had "stage fright" which cracks me up that he knows those words. He didn't act nervous but apparently was! It was very cute. His Nana came into town to watch it and to watch his and Blake's ball games so I hope we don't get rained out this weekend!

Dad saves the Day
I looked everywhere for a fiddle for Michael to use in his play this week. I can tell you what musical instruments about 10stores have. And I can tell you that none of them have a fiddle. But my good husband solved the dilema by MAKING one out of wood. He carved it at his dads house and then painted it at home. It looks really great. I was so impressed. So was Michael. Originally I had thought about donating the fiddle to the school for next year so whoever was the Cat with the Fiddle would not stress about looking for one like I did. But now that Brian made one (instead of me buying one) I don't think we can part with it. And I already know when Blake starts kindergarten and does nursery rhyme day that he can be the Cat with the Fiddle!

1st wallets
I asked Michael what I should write my blog about today so he told me to write about their new wallets. LOL!
Brian had promised the boys that they could get a wallet about a month ago and we've been looking everywhere for one. Nobody has any kids ones except Toys R Us. So I finally made it over there today. The only ones they had were Mario Bros so that is what the kids got. Brian thought they should have one to keep their money in. The kids LOVE these wallets. So funny to me that they got so excited about something like a wallet. Michael said, "It's our very first wallet!" They have spent the last 1 1/2 hrs putting money in it, taking it out, etc. I buy them toys they don't spend this much time with!

Chatting about the boys tonight
I like pictures of the boys sleeping but this one is classic. Blake sleeping with his baby is so sweet! He hasn't paid much attention to his baby in a while but the last couple days the boys got on this kick where they keep saying they want a baby in the house. I keep explaining to them that if we had a baby in the house that i wouldnt have alot of time to play with them, the baby would cry alot, etc...and they just keep saying its ok. They want to hold a baby they say. (that would last probably 5minutes LOL) Anyway, because they were talking about babies I guess it reminded Blake about his baby to sleep with. Tonight I told Michael to read his AR book (his reading books at school that he takes tests on to find out his reading level which is 2.0 right now. That means he reads 2nd grade level) I told him to read to his brother while I was folding laundry. His book is about a baby so that makes sense now why they have been on a big baby kick. I love to hear Michael read. It is quite amazing that he can read so good in kindergarten. I remember learning to tie my shoes in kindergarten and using scissors was the big thing!

Baseball
Today was Blake's first practice. All I can say is "wow". He was just like a big boy going out on the field by himself. He is usually attached to me (and I say this after I sat thru Michael's game tonight and he was touching me the whole game....attached doesn't exaggerate!) LOL! He ran fast, got the balls hit to him, etc....he was really happy to be out there. And we were so proud. He is a natural at running for sure. Has such form! LOL! Then tonight at Michael's game he was put on 3rd base. He had a hard time at first getting acclamated to the position. It's not easy being 6 and paying attention constantly LOL! But by the end of the game he did really good. He stopped 2 maybe 3 really good hits and threw them good. He got a triple at bat and then a single. They lost again but looked much better. The coach is really trying to find the "chemistry" of the team by switching them around. He even sent them an email tonight saying he was proud of them for tonight. They played a very good team!

What a day!
This was my Friday. Took Michael to school and then went to meet the other moms to put the class scrapbooks together. Was there till 2. Ran home to get my tennis shoes so I could walk with Laura at the park. Ran by Jayme's to put some paper in her mailbox so she could cut a few things for the scrapbook that we forgot to do the last two nights I was at her house working on the scrapbook. Went and walked at park. Went home and cooked tacos and quesadillas for Laura and her kids. Went to Blake's pictures for baseball. Went to the last 40minutes of Michael's practice. Came home to scrapbook with Jayme till 1030. Am going to bed! I did get a peek at the scrapbook today with the pages IN it. Wow is all I can say! So cute! I am very proud of it and I know Michael will be too.

Tomorrow is our first adventure with the kids having baseball stuff at the same time. Blakey has baseball pics at same time, different field while Michael has practice. He tried on his uniform tonight and "OH MY, he is too cute!" Michael tried on his costume for his play and "ditto" on the cuteness. They are getting way too big!

Baseball
Tonight was uniform pickup for Blake's baseball team. How fun that we will be able to watch him play this weekend! I will miss borrowing Laura's camera though. (this picture was taken with her camera) That is such a great camera and took really good pics at Michael's last two games. Mine just doesn't zoom good. I am looking forward to seeing Blake on the field. Of course, Michael won't know what to do in the stands!

The face!
If being dirty is any indication to how you played ,then Michael should get the game ball. (his coach doesn't do that though). He was filthy after the game. Like funny filthy all over his face and uniform. I might as well have just cleaned the uniform in stain stick! We lost again but Michael did good. He got an out at home. (as catcher) He hit one of his hits off the tee (which was a good hit) but the other one was a great hit! I video taped his out he got so will send that to the family. He also made me proud at piano lessons. He did a great duet with his teacher. She was so proud of him that she had me come inside to see them do it. ( I usually sit in car with Blake)

Weekend
I had a good time in KY with Mom. We were suposed to go to a movie Saturday night but due to 3hr traffic I got there too late to go. That was a bummer but it was fun sitting up till 230am chatting. Lunch with mom, dad, Dawson and Scott. Then Mom and I went to Stacy's baby shower! She doesnt know what she is having yet. Good food, good talk, and good company. Mom introduced me to a cool $1 store that has scrapbook stuff. I was in heaven! Then off to dinner with Mom and Dad and home to the family.

Baseball
Michael did so good in his baseball game tonight. He played catcher and he ran some kids back to 3rd base to keep them from scoring. He hit twice and he hit both out to the outfield with the "magic bat" his coach let him use. He would've gotten an honest to goodness homerun the first hit but he ran into the 2nd baseman and they both fell down. But he was smart enough to get up and run all the way to 3rd before the kid in right field thru it home and prevented him from running there. It's amazing to see how much he has improved this year. We have worked alot on his throwing the ball and now he is throwing good. It reminds me of when I was young (I started playing when I was 9 other then tball for a yr when I was little) and my Dad worked with me on throwing. He use to tell me to not throw like a girl! And we'd work and work and work on it in the backyard untill all of a sudden I could throw good and long!

Field trip

Easter egg hunt at school
I feel so lucky to have been able to participate in so much of Michael's school yr. I have only missed one field trip and have been to all of the parties. Actually I have planned all the parties. He has two field trips this month. Then next month he has field day and water day at school. I am very thankful to my husband for putting our family first over "things". Not all husbands would feel that way. And if we ever get this scrapbook finished....everyone will get to see everything we did all yr long and I will be able to look back on it someday with such joy!

Cuddles
Tonight at church I was sitting there between the boys and had each one attached to me laying on me. Michael had me put my arm around him and Blake was cuddled next to me. I was thinking, "Atleast if nothing else, I got this right." Atleast my boys want to be near me and cuddle. They must know I love them!

Remembering their room
Sweet Blake likes me to lay with him when he goes to bed. Tonight he wanted me to put my arm aournd him so he was all cuddled up with me. Then he took my other arm and put it around him too. Sweet boy. He was laying so quiet and confy I figured he was asleep so i began to look around their room and it made me want to blog about their room so i can remember what it looked like some day.
The room of a 6 and 3 yr old.....baseball pictures and their fishing license (for life) with their pictures hanging on the wall. Two jersey prints Kelly painted hanging on another wall. Baseball pictures on the shelves. One picture of me dancing with Michael at Kel's wedding when Michael was 2. One picture of Michael on Daddy's shoulders. A Ben-10 poster Kelly painted for Michaels 5th bday. And their two twin beds with sports comforters. In the corner, the very large train table.

Scrapbooking
I am having a hard time picking which pictures to put in Michael's school scrapbook. I have been lucky enough to be at all of Michaels kindergarten stuff except one field trip so far. And we know how many pictures I take. The thing about scrapbooking though is you do a page with a few pictues, not 100 like I take. Plus the other moms are really nice to take some of him too. So here I am at 10pm doing another event for 20kids for the school scrapbook and I am stumped on my childs page . I have 9 pictures to fit on 2 pages. Not going to happen! I just keep looking at his sweet pictures and I don't want to throw any away LOL! It is really a growing experience for me LOL! I want him to always remember all our fun times at school together plus all of his fun moments with his friends and teacher. He is getting so big. And so smart. He is learning contractions, imperative, declarative, interrogative sentences, verbs, nouns, etc....he will be smarter then me by the times he is 9 I figure! : )

Coloring Easter Eggs
Brian always kids me about how our kids get to celebrate every holiday 3times. I tend to really get into the holidays with my kids and love any excuse to do something fun together. So yes, our kids are doing 3 Easter egg hunts and they did Easter eggs twice today. But how fun! And what good memories. First they did the Easter eggs with us and then we went to friends house and did them with their kids. I love boiled eggs. Blake tried one and seemed to like it but Michael was not a fan. Brian likes them too so it's obviously not hereditary! Happy Easter tomorrow!

Remembering what Easter is about
I am thankful for everyone who has contributed to me being who I am, and helped me to be right where i am right now. And I thank God for sending his son to die on the cross for our sins.

Today Michael tried out for his school musical. They were to pick out 3 of their favorite rolls. They were also given a few generic lines to practice for the tryouts. So I told him the lines and we practiced them 3 or 4 times. Well, today he goes into the tryouts and the music director asks him his name, teacher and to say one of the characters lines he has memorized. He tells him ALL three of the characters lines that he had learned!
